DPU Introduced at the EAIE 2025

Our university made its mark on the international stage at the EAIE 2025 Conference and Fair held in Sweden.

DPÜ was represented at the European Association for International Education.

Representing our university at the event, which took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, from September 9–12, 2025, were our Rector, Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak, and Lecturer Vehbi Onur Demirciler from the Center for International Relations and International Student Coordination, Application, and Research (DPU ULMER).

At this year’s fair, which saw participation from higher education institutions in over 100 countries worldwide, Turkey was strongly represented by 88 universities. Our university’s booth, located in the “Study in Turkey” pavilion, was one of the most heavily visited areas. Participants received information about our faculties and research centers and had the opportunity to learn firsthand about our academic infrastructure and opportunities for international students.

Throughout the fair, meetings were held with numerous universities from Europe. Additionally, contacts were established with institutions from countries outside Europe, including Malaysia, China, Indonesia, Ukraine, Brazil, Japan, Palestine, Lebanon, and Georgia. Some of these meetings resulted in cooperation agreements. The agreements reached emphasized increasing student and staff mobility, developing joint research projects, collaborating on scientific publications, and co-organizing international symposia.

In a statement from DPU ULMER, it was noted: “For our university, this event was not only significant for the agreements reached but also served as an important opportunity for institutional promotion. Participation supported the goal of enhancing our country’s international recognition in higher education while strongly demonstrating our university’s vision for internationalization.”
